Mojang has released their weekly snapshot at what Minecraft 1.5 will look like. However, this is not the case. It has been confirmed by Jeb that they will probably release 1.4.6 on Monday!

There is now Firework Sounds! I can't show you here, but I will show you in a video which will be available to watch on YouTube and this website late tonight
Earlier on this week, Dinnebone posted to the Mojang YouTube channel a item drops sneak peek. You can watch it at youtube.com/teammojang (or when that video comes out later tonight). This feature has been added into this week's snapshot as well.
When you use the arrow keys to switch between items in your inventory, a caption comes up above the bar and tells you what the item is. This is designed to help people who are new to the game
